Open Gaming for Teens at the Library Friday

Video games will be available, and attendees can also bring their own.

Teens are invited to stop by the library and play on the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360.

• Practice SAT Test: Students in seventh grade through senior year of high school can take a practice ACT test from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Downers Grove Public Library. Students should bring pencils and a snack. Contact Lynette at lpitrak@dglibrary.org with questions or special accommodation requests.
• "Broadway Our Way" Ladies Tea Fundraiser: St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5739 Dunham Road, Downers Grove, will host a ladies tea fundraiser from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Attendees can enjoy an afternoon filled with Broadway music, an assortment of tea and delicacies, and a chance to win one of 15 raffle baskets. Call the church office at (630) 969-2783 to reserve a spot. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. All proceeds benefit St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
• Downers Grove Choral Society's 55th Season Opener: The season will kick off with a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at First United Methodist Church, Downers Grove. The guest conductor is Paul Grizzell. Tickets are $22 for general admission, $17 for seniors, and $7 for students. Visit http://www.dgcs.org/ for more information.
• Sunday Afternoon Concert at the Library: West Towns Chorus will host a concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Downers Grove Library. The four part a cappella group harmony in the barbershop style. Coffee and snacks are provided. Register in advance here.
