There is always a reason for a price-increase - I can't remember ever reading about a reason for aRead More price-decrease. It's possible no one else has noticed this. Isn't capitalism wonderful?

Anyone but Phillips Chevrolet. I got screwed at Phillips. I picked-out a truck, put down a $200 cashRead More deposit and came back the next day to find they sold my truck to someone else. Cheeseballs.
Interested resident April 2, 2014 at 09:01 am
That is a shame Lenny Kravitz. I'm sorry to hear that. The patch says Fallon will buy the truckRead More for the rep (in quotes). My understanding is that he is going to buy a truck from the rep. He said last Friday night that he didn't want to make it that easy for the sale.

Mikerrr April 1, 2014 at 12:18 pm

Will have a Fresh Thyme Farmers Market a few blocks away opening in 2015 and Standard Market isn'tRead More to far either. Three similar type grocery stores so close, not sure how that will work. Maybe that just means better prices for us.
Kent Frederick March 28, 2014 at 08:33 am
Now, if they could just find a new store for the Dominick's on 63rd St., just east of I-355, inRead More Woodridge.

Only 4 percent of adults and 4 percent of children suffer peanut allergies ...
Vicky Kujawa March 19, 2014 at 10:02 pm
If someone was allergic to nuts they would not be able to be on this board lol!
Diana Flores March 21, 2014 at 01:16 pm
wow I can't believe that only one piece of candy had a peanut out of the 24 candies in the box!
Jordan S. Zoot March 5, 2014 at 02:49 pm
Given all of the things I have to worry about today I am sure glad that tainted nuts isn't one ofRead More them.
Oliver P. McCracken March 6, 2014 at 09:33 am
I thought folks were complaining that The Patch no longer had an editor? If there is no editor, thenRead More who deleted my nuts-&-taint-tainted remark?
Citizen Sane March 16, 2014 at 08:44 pm

Another grocery store in another town for Lisle residents to go and spend their money. Glen EllynRead More did not set up a TIF for this redevelopment project. They approved a sales tax rebate agreement where 40% of the sales tax generated goes back to the developer for up to 10 yrs, not to exceed $1M total rebate.

No need for the bitterness Raggedyann, I was just voicing an opinion.
Kelly February 25, 2014 at 07:24 am
This IS worthy of Breaking News! My opinion. Any change to an empty eyesore in our village isRead More welcome. Ibdon't like Jewel or Trader Joe's/lower quality everything is frozen, but Standard Market, ehich I love, is very high end and prived as such, so we need a good quality market that offers lots of fresh for everyday shopping.
DHD February 25, 2014 at 09:34 am
This is not breaking news. Please don't spam my inbox.
