Ballot Order Set for Downers Grove Council Race; Barnett Gets Top Billing
Incumbent Bob Barnett will be the first of six candidates listed on the April 9, 2013 ballot; newcomer Greg Hosé will be slated last.
The official ballot order has been set for the 2013 Downers Grove Council race, and the two incumbent candidates have received top billing. A lottery was held Nov. 27 to determine the six candidates' placement on April 9, 2013 ballot, according to Downers Grove Village Clerk April Holden. Four candidates—incumbents Robert "Bob" Barnett and Marilyn J. Schnell, and newcomers David S. Olsen and Susan Walaszek—filed their nomination papers at 8 a.m. Nov. 19. Two additional newcomers, Greg Hosé and Don Jankowski, filed just before the deadline Nov. 26. Under state law, for those who file at the same time, a lottery is held to determine ballot placement.
