Home Burglarized on 63rd Street in Downers Grove: Police Blotter

Downers Grove police reports, Nov. 18.

SUNDAY, NOV. 18 A house was burglarized in the 900 block of 63rd Street in Downers Grove sometime between 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 18, police said. A man called police to his home just after 5 a.m., when he returned from a concert and noticed the blinds to one of his living room windows was in disarray. The man told officers he noticed a damaged window screen on the living room floor, police said. The window itself was wide open, leading the man to believe someone broke in, police said. The man told police $4,100 cash was removed from a safe, the report states. A black and yellow Zack Wild replica guitar was also stolen, police said. No further details were released. Rollover Accident on 63rd Sends Two to Hospital

Incident occurred on Thursday, June 21 at 10:26 a.m. on 63rd Street.

A rollover accident involving two cars on Thursday, June 21 sent both drivers to the hospital, according to police. The accident occured in the 1400 block o 63rd Street at 10:26 a.m. when an eastbound vehicle drifted into the westbound traffic, left the roadway momentarily before returning and colliding with a car heading west. The eastbound car, driven by a 22-year-old woman, rolled over during the collision. Both the woman and the driver of the westbound car, a 68-year-man, were injured and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. According to police, the 22-year-old woman may have fallen asleep while driving.
