He collapsed at the bottom of the center’s main staircase. Fortunately, several Wellness Center associates rushed to his aid, activating the center’s emergency response protocol. Ten hours later, Sofia Lynn Gonzalez became the first baby born at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in 2013. Sofia—born at 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and measuring 19 ¾ inches long—was delivered at 9:19 a.m. by Dr. Vipal Arora, an OB/GYN at the Downers Grove hospital. If arriving by ambulance your care is transferred to an emergency room nurse at bedside.
