Downers Grove police reports, Feb. 10.
A Downers Grove woman was reportedly robbed at gunpoint Sunday night outside her apartment. Police said the woman was pulling into a parking spot in front of her building—located in the 2200 block of Prentiss Drive—around 6:20 p.m. when she saw a man in a white ski mask walking toward her on a path that stretches from Target, 2333 63rd St. in Woodridge, to her complex. The man passed the rear of the woman's vehicle, then turned around and approached her with a handgun, police said. The woman told police she immediately put her hands up and started screaming, "Don't shoot me." The man reportedly reached into the vehicle and grabbed the woman's gray purse, which contained about $60 cash, medication, makeup and other miscellaneous items. He …

Jason Logsdon, 41, of the 900 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, was charged with four armed robberies in DuPage County. He was charged earlier in the week in Cook County. He faces up to 120 years in prison.

An Evanston man already charged in 11 business and hair salon robberies in the northern suburbs was charged Friday with robbing a Glen Ellyn Great Clips, along with three other businesses in Lombard. Jason Logsdon, 41, of the 900 block of Chicago Avenue, Evanston, was charged with allegedly robbing four DuPage County businesses in the past two months, according to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin. He was charged with four counts of armed robbery, each a Class X Felony punishable by up to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. The law allows for the sentences to be served consecutively, making it possible that Logsdon could serve a maximum sentence of 120 years. Logsdon was charged earlier in the week with robbing …

Police are still searching for a white man wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, who allegedly robbed the bank at gunpoint around 11:09 a.m. Thursday.
A Downers Grove bank was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning by a man wearing a mask, authorities said. United Central Bank, 1303 Ogden Ave., was robbed around 11:09 a.m., according to Downers Grove police. No one was injured during the incident. The man left southbound on foot before police arrived on scene, according to Downers Grove Police Sgt. Harry Andler. The suspect is a white man in a black ski mask, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, Andler said. Downers Grove police did not immediately release details on how much money was stolen during the incident. A man is behind bars after he was found with about 40 bags of heroin. Bolingbrook police arrested Chad E. Hinshaw, 32, of Pontiac, at 6:10 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Remington Boulevard and Brookview Lane. Hinshaw was a passenger in a car that had been stopped by police for failing to signal when required after cutting across three lanes of traffic. The traffic violation resulted in causing several other commuters to apply their brakes to avoid a collision with the car, police said. Officers said they saw Hinshaw “duck down and then briskly move around the seat.” After approaching the vehicle, police said Hinshaw continued to fidget and act nervous.
