Downers Grove police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to lure a 13-year-old boy to his vehicle while he was walking to school Monday morning. The boy was walking near the Westbrook West Condos—located at Ogden and Saratoga avenues—around 8:05 a.m. when police said he was approached by a vehicle driven by a lone man. The man rolled down his window and offered the boy a ride to school, prompting the boy to flee the area on foot, police said. Police searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the described man or vehicle, according to Sgt. Harry Andler, spokesman for the Downers Grove Police Department.
