District 99 Wrestlers Take Second, Fourth in State
DGS's Willie Anaya took fourth and DGN' Cullen Cummings took second in state Saturday.
Two wrestlers from Community High School District 99 were among the best in the state at the individual wrestling state finals Saturday. Cullen Cummings, of Downers Grove North, made it to the championship match-up for the 132-pound weight class but was defeated by Sal Annoreno of Bartlett High School. Willie Anaya, of Downers Grove South, was defeated in overtime in his 160-pound third place match-up. Anaya took third place at state in his weight class last year. He took second at the 3A Glenbard North sectional last Saturday. Cummings defeated Clay Shelton from Plainfield North High School in the prelims and Mike Mizaur from Mt.
