A Darien man charged with kidnapping his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint and murdering her friend will be held without bond in DuPage County Jail. Joseph Spitalli, 34, of the 7500 block of Country Lane in Darien, appeared in court Monday morning and he was denied bail. He's charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated kidnapping, a Class X felony. If convicted he faces life in prison with no possibility of parole. He's scheduled to appear in court Dec. 17 in front of Judge Daniel Guerin. A Darien man has been charged with first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping after DuPage County officials said he killed one person and then kidnapped a woman at knifepoint Friday. Joseph Spitalli, 34, of 7529 Country Lane in Darien, was taken into custody Sunday and charged with murder in the stabbing death of 31-year-old Teymur Huseynli. Spitalli was also charged with aggravated kidnapping after officials said he kidnapped Huseynli's girlfriend. Darien police responded at 12:25 a.m. Friday to a battery call on Wildwood Court in Darien, according to a DuPage County State's Attorney's press release. They found Huseynli dead on the lawn of an apparent knife wound. Officials aren't releasing any other information at this time. …
