Downers Grove Launches Campaign to Promote 'Friendliest Town' Title

Mayor Martin Tully unveiled a new logo for businesses, non-profits and governmental bodies that touts Downers Grove's ranking in Forbes Magazine's "Top 10 Friendliest Towns in America."

Downers Grove has launched a new campaign to promote its recent recognition as one of the "friendliest towns in America." Mayor Martin Tully unveiled a new logo during his State of the Village address Tuesday night that promotes last year's Forbes Magazine article that ranked Downers Grove among "America's Friendliest Towns." The logo was a joint venture by the village, Downers Grove Park District,the Downtown Management Corporation and the Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation. We only visit Downers Grove because our daughter and her family live there. However, if we were to move, it would be an ideal place for us to live. Our kids are so happy there because of the things mentioned--festivals, shopping, restaurants, great schools, and larger shopping areas nearby if they can't find what they need in town. Water Pump Company Moves North American Headquarters to Downers Grove

Grundfos, the leading manufacturer of water pumps, will move into the Esplanade building at 2001 Butterfield Road this spring.

Grundfos, one of the world's leading manufacturers of water pumps, will move its North American headquarters to Downers Grove this spring. The Denmark-based company, which employs 20,000 people in 20 countries, will take over a suite in the Esplanade office building, located at 2001 Butterfield Road. Five or six employees will make the move this spring, but the office is expected to grow to 40 people over the next four years, according to Crain's Chicago Business. Flavorchem Dedicates New $8.5M Production Facility in Downers Grove

Flavorchem, 1528 Brook Drive, creates flavors, colors and fragrances used in the food and beverage industries.

Flavorchem—a company that creates flavors, colors and fragrances for food and beverages—recently opened a new, $8.5 million production facility, the Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation (DGEDC) announced Monday. The 40,000-square-foot facility is an expansion of Flavorchem's existing campus at 1528 Brook Drive. The campus includes the company's corporate headquarters, distribution and packaging centers, and the sales, customer services and marketing offices.
