Downers Grove Library Hosts Media Giveaway
Thousands of VHS tapes, audiobooks on cassette and select CDs will be available for free this weekend as the library makes room for new material.
The Downers Grove Public Library will host a media giveaway this weekend as it makes room for new materials. More than 5,000 VHS tapes, audiobooks on cassette and select CDs will be available all day Friday, Sept. 7, through Sunday, Sept. 9, at no cost to library patrons. The library, 1050 Curtis St., is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The giveaway is directly related to the library's recently adopted strategic plan, which calls for a "strong focus on books, reading and associated services."
