Global Pump Company Breaks Ground on Downers Grove Headquarters
Executives from Grundfos were joined by Gov. Pat Quinn, Downers Grove Mayor Martin Tully and other elected officials Tuesday for the groundbreaking of their new North American Headquarters at 2001 Butterfield Road.
Grundfos, one of the world's leading manufacturers of water pumps, broke ground on its new North American headquarters in Downers Grove on Tuesday. The Denmark-based company, which employs 20,000 people in 20 countries, is relocatng from Olathe, KS, to the Esplanade office building, located at 2001 Butterfield Road. The Illinois Clean Water Initiative – which was launched by Governor Quinn in 2012 to overhaul the state’s water infrastructure – was cited by the company as a key reason why they chose Illinois. “I am pleased that Grundfos has chosen Illinois as the location for their North American headquarters,” Governor Quinn said. “Illinois continues to be one of the best places to do business in the world. Illinois lost 17,000 Jobs last month 2nd highest in the nation. Where was Governor Quinns Press release on that one. We would need 400 Grundfos to move to Illinois to make up for the ineptitude of Governor Quinn and his union Democratic parasites.   more ›
