Deciding whether to "Love It" or "List It" in the Grove.

My wife is addicted to those home improvement shows that dominate cable on weekends. “House Hunters,” “Renovation Realities,” “Mitre Saw Misadventures” (Watch this homeowner try and install his own crown molding! Hemorrhaging and hilarity ensue!)—she watches them all. Saturdays are spent wandering the aisles of Home Depot searching for the hunky young host of "Yard Crashers," hoping he’ll come back to our house and remake our yard into a tropical island paradise (free of charge of course). I don’t care if he does the work shirtless and she invites her girlfriends over to watch; as long as he builds in a faux volcano that doubles as a Mai Tai dispenser, I’m fine. Funny then that our lives have become a real life episode of "Love It or List …

Downers Grove Woman Gets 3 Years in Prison for Drunken Crash into Wheaton House

Allison Smolinski, 23, will return to prison for charges related to a January crash into a Wheaton home, injuring one, the Naperville Sun reports.

A Downers Grove woman charged in three accidents, including a crash into a Wheaton home in January, was convicted of a felony charge of aggravated DUI and sentenced to three years in prison in DuPage County court this week, according to the Naperville Sun. Allison Smolinski, 23, faced charges of aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, leaving the scene of an accident, property damage and driving too fast for conditions after the Jan. 10 accident near the intersection of Farnham Lane and Huntleigh Street in Wheaton. According to a press release the Wheaton Police Department sent after the crash, Smolinski was ejected from her 1997 Nissan after it hit a tree and then the house.
