Wheaton Classic Presents Challenge for Best of the Best
Several local teams in the 24-team field at Wheaton Warrenville South in one of the biggest volleyball tournaments in the state.
Naperville North's girls volleyball team got a good feeling about playing at Wheaton Warrenville South with a dramatic win over the Tigers Tuesday. Starting Thursday, the Huskies will be part of a 24-team field at the Wheaton Classic, a tournament that features some of the best teams in the state. "It's going to be great to be back here since we already have a win here," North sophomore Corinne Gajcak said. "Hopefully, we can have a lot more." The field has a definite local flavor, with the Huskies joined by Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley, Waubonsie Valley, Benet, Downers Grove North and Downers Grove South all in the mix.
