Downers Grove North Video Wins ABC's 'Show Us Your Spirit!' Contest

The DGN Fine Arts Department's lip-dub video to "It's Always a Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen beat out eight other schools in an online poll, according to school officials.

A lip-dub video created by the Downers Grove North High School Fine Arts Department has been named the winner of ABC 7 Chicago's "Show Us Your Spirit!" contest. North High officials announced the victory on the school's Facebook page Sunday night, saying the video jumped into first place Friday morning and picked up more than 3,600 votes by the time polls closed. Last week, ABC collected spirit-filled viral videos from high schools across the suburbs for the contest. The winning video was formally announced Monday morning on ABC 7 Chicago. Earlier this fall, DGN Fine Arts Chair Brayer Teague enlisted the help of dozens of students and faculty members to create a lip-dub video to "It's Always a Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. …

Vote for Downers Grove North Viral Video on ABC 7 Chicago

The DGN Fine Arts Department recently created lip-dub video to "It's Always a Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. Voting will be open online until 6 p.m. Sunday.

A lip-dub video created by the Downers Grove North High School Fine Arts Department has been chosen as a finalist in ABC 7 Chicago's "Show Us Your Spirit!" contest. ABC has been collecting spirit-filled viral videos from high schools across the suburbs all week for the contest. Voting for the best video is open until 6 p.m. Sunday on ABC's website.
