Take the Village's Bike and Pedestrian Survey

Help the village understand your wants and needs by taking its bike and pedestrian survey

With the village's increased efforts to make Downers Grove more bike and pedestrian friendly comes the opportunity for resident input. Throughout June, the village was out-and-about asking bikers and walkers what improvements they'd like to see the village make in order to make the village more bike friendly. This time, as the village continues to put together an update to the 12-year-old “Bikeway and Pedestrian” plan, they're looking for community input in the form of a survey. You can find the 23-question survey HERE and the survey will be available through August 3.

Reminder: Help the Downers Grove Public Library Win $5,000

The library is barely holding on to first place

UPDATE [7/15 11 p.m.]: With over 34,000 votes cast so far, the Downers Grove Public Library is holding on to first place by a 40 vote margin as of this writing in the Lego Duplo Read! Build! Play! project. A victory would net the library $5,000 in books and supplies. Remember, you can vote once a day every day, so make a habit out of it. Voting allegedly ends in October, but details on when exactly are hard to come by, so don't sit back and wait! ORIGINAL: As we mentioned last week, you can help the Downers Grove Public Library win $5,000 in books and supplies through an initiative with Lego Duplo. A week later, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is the library has fallen to second place behind the Rochester Hills Public Library …

Help District 58 by Filling out this Communications Survey

District seeks feedback on its communications.

District 58 wants to know how well you think it communicates with you. To find out, they've created a communications satisfaction survey which you can find here. The district is seeking feedback from anyone even remotely connected to the district and the Downers Grove community, so take a few minutes out of your day and share your opinions with them. If you need a hard copy of the survey, contact D58's Communications Coordinator Jennifer Waldorf at (630) 719-5805. The survey will be open until the end of August.
