Need to Beat the Heat? Check out these DG Cooling Centers

Village of Downers Grove website lists various places you can keep cool.

It's hot. Even if the weather settles down a bit in the coming days, we're still on a hot streak, so it's best to be prepared. To help, the Village of Downers Grove have listed some cooling centers on its website. Heat Wave Ushers in Summer

Temperatures the first part of the week are expected to be in the 90s. Downers Grove Patch shares tips for people and pets to stay cool and healthy.

Summer is heading to town with full force. The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures of up to 95 degrees Tuesday. That is just the temperature. The heat index will feel closer to 100 degrees. Temperatures through Wednesday are predicted to be in the 90s, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Staying inside is one way to keep cool. Here are some tips to keep from overheating and keeping your pets healthy and happy too. The DuPage County Health Department has a number of tips to help people stay safe in the heat. Dehydration: Dehydration occurs when more water leaves the body that you put back in. Stay well hydrated throughout the day and drink extra fluids when exercising or simply being outdoors on hot days. …
