I know what it's like to grow up in Downers Grove. In the 1980s, anyway. My husband and I met at Downers Grove North and returned to DG to raise our family in 2003. I received a BA in journalism from Indiana University and an MBA in marketing and e-business—back when the former didn't automatically include the latter—from DePaul University. My experience includes eight years marketing communications and Internet marketing for Easter Seals national headquarters in Chicago, several years freelance writing and editing for various publications and curricula, and being a mom of two.
