Dave Matthews knew he wanted to be a writer since he was a child penning short stories his mom liked. He's since ventured into journalism, where he's found happiness writing stories that readers like. You may remember his work over the past two years with the Elmhurst Press. Now he's excited to contribute for Patch and help make it Elmhurst's first and best source for local news.

Dave is originally from Bloomington-Normal, and a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He lives in Chicago and is a Bulls season ticket holder.
