I am the mother of a beautiful and amazing little girl with autism. Born and raised in Chicago, I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Finance. Before becoming a mom, I worked for 20 years in the business world, spending 12 years away from the Chicago area, including 5 years in Amsterdam and 7 in Silicon Valley, before returning in 2007.  I am currently a stay-at-home mom, as well as a blogger on the side.
