The Downers Grove Music
Club is hosting a benefit concert, reception and auction to support the student music awards. This annual award program recognizes talented high school
musicians with monetary awards for the
continuation of their musical studies. A
total of $4,400 was awarded in April of 2013.
A Notable Celebration of the Arts will feature a concert of exciting performances by THESIX - Abigail Habegger,
piano and winds, Jason Deroche - guitar, Jim Molina - piano, Andrew Molina - cello, Chris
Garofalo - piano and Jen Leckie - violin. The dessert and wine
reception is provided by J. Flemings Absolutely Delicious and Caribou
Coffee. The silent auction features over 30 wonderful items averaging in value of $100 or more. Everyone that attends A Notable Celebration of the Arts has a
chance to win one of many door prizes featuring gift certificates from local
businesses equal to at least $25 in value.
Tickets are available to
purchase online via the DGMC website
(http://downersgrovemusicclub.org/). Tickets are $25 for adults. Youth 18 or
younger are free when accompanied by an adult.
