Police: Man Exposes Himself to Child in Downtown Downers Grove

A man driving a a navy blue vehicle reportedly exposed himself while speaking to a boy Monday afternoon near Highland and Warren avenues.

Police are looking for a man who reportedly exposed himself to a boy in downtown Downers Grove on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m., when a boy was walking near Highland and Warren avenues, police said.


The child was reportedly approached by a man driving a late '90s, navy blue two-door vehicle with a custom exhaust system. The man briefly spoke to the child, at which time the child observed that the man was exposing himself, police said.

The boy retrieved his cell phone and the man left the scene, driving westbound on Warren Avenue from Highland Avenue.  

The suspect is described as a while male in his late 20s or early 30s, heavy set, with brown hair, some facial hair and blue eyes, police said.

Downers Grove police issued a statement Monday night urging parents and children to be aware of their surroundings and to contact the police department anytime suspicious activity is observed.
