iPhone Snatched

A woman's iPhone was taken from a store on the 100 block of Ogden Avenue, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 10:16 p.m. The woman's husband said she set her phone down somewhere in the store and left without taking it with her. She didn't realize it was missing until 9:30 p.m.

The husband sent a text message asking for the phone to be returned, and immediately the phone was turned off, according to a police report. He called his service provider to have the phone disconnected.

Public Pervert

A woman spotted a man masturbating in a parking lot on the 1400 block of Branding Avenue, police said. The incident occurred a few minutes after the woman left work at 4:15 p.m. on the 1400 block of Opus Place. As she reached the stop sign directly south of 1401 Branding Avenue, she saw a man "covertly standing" on the opposite side of a brick pylon, according to a police report. When she cleared the stop sign, the man stepped into view.

The woman saw the man with his right hand underneath his pant's waistband, rubbing his groin area while making eye contact with her, the report said. Once he continued for an additional five to 10 seconds, the woman grabbed her phone to call police. As she dialed, the man quickly took his hand out of his pants and ran toward the north end of the parking lot. She saw an older model dark tan Nissan Sentra leave the lot, traveling westbound on Branding Avenue toward Finley Road.
